As both a museum as well as a school of fine arts the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts presents special exhibitions featuring works by many of the region's most talented contemporary artists as well as an extraordinary permanent collection.  The Museum itself holds a great deal of historical significance being the nation's oldest museum.
